Educational Objectives
In line with the school's educational philosophy of "Consideration, Cooperation, Communication, and Creativity", we integrated the fields of humanities, arts, aesthetics, engineering, business, and multimedia to satisfy the demand for design professionals in small and medium enterprises. The department planning is based on "Industrial Design", supplemented by the "Commercial Design" curriculum. Through the incorporation of practice and theory, we cultivate the students to have open and innovative design-thinking, establish design abilities exclusive to the students, and cultivate all-round design talents.
Curriculum

(1)Based on "industrial design" as the main department development axis and supplemented by "commercial design", course modules are planned to provide students with a wide range of course options that are unique and diversified.

(2)In the practice-oriented curriculum planning, based on the departmental development features, the department has specially planned relevant elective courses for the students, supplemented by multi-faceted learning opportunities such as extracurricular competition participation, professional license acquisition, and off-campus internships. Teaching and research are incorporated with technical practice to achieve the educational goal of balanced knowledge and skills. In addition, apart from teaching the courses in professional fields and implementing the basic competency requirements in students, various integrated interdisciplinary courses have been set up for the students. These will strengthen the professional knowledge of students in their shared fields, as well as broaden the horizons of students so that they can increase both the breadth and depth of knowledge.
